The Weight of Fall

Fall. That lovely time of year when the days are warm and the nights are cool, the backyard campfires send pungent smoke curling into the sky, the pumpkin spice lattes flow freely, and the spent leaves fall from the trees making it almost impossible to detect the piles of dog poop I need to scoop up before the depositor of those poops steps first in them and then through my back door into my kitchen..

And then there's the ragweed.
